🌍 NEW AS OF JULY 2026 — Global Payments and Currency Display

⚠️ Important security update: All card payments above 250 € now require mandatory 3D Secure authentication. Payments without 3D Secure will be automatically declined.


🔄 Several sections of our payment system have been updated: Installments, Payments, PayPal and Discounts & Promotions have all received important changes. Detailed explanations can be found in their respective dedicated blog articles.

We have changed our payment provider to better serve customers worldwide and to support a broader range of preferred payment methods. This update improves both the stability of payment processing and the flexibility of available options, while keeping our pricing structure transparent and predictable.


💱 Currency Display vs. Billing Currency

Our store only accepts payments in EUR. For easier orientation, prices can now be automatically displayed in the visitor's local currency. The price display is based on geo-IP detection, while the language and currency display is based on the visitor's browser settings and can be customized.

✔ Billing currency: always EUR
✔ Display currency: local currency for orientation only
✔ No change to the actual charged amount – it is always calculated in EUR

Thanks to the new setup, we can now show currencies that were previously not visible, including IQD, KWD, JOD, AED, SAR, EGP, TRY and many more. This makes it easier for customers to understand prices in their own currency, while the underlying billing remains stable in EUR.


🧾 Local Payment Methods with Geo‑IP Logic

Certain local payment methods are displayed directly in the checkout, but they are only valid for customers from the respective country. Activation is handled via Geo‑IP checks, ensuring that each customer sees payment options that are relevant and available in their region.

💡 Examples of local methods:
– iDEAL for customers in the Netherlands
– Bancontact for customers in Belgium
– EPS for customers in Austria
– Przelewy24 for customers in Poland


💳 More Than 21 Payment Methods via Mollie

Our new payment provider, Mollie, offers more than 21 different payment methods. These include international credit cards, local payment schemes, real‑time payment options, bank transfers and various digital wallets. Mollie now serves as the central payment engine for our store, ensuring broad coverage and modern payment capabilities.


🅿 PayPal – Physical vs. Digital Goods

PayPal remains available, but with an important distinction: for physical products, certain limitations still apply, while for digital goods and services there is no longer any PayPal limitation. This is particularly relevant for customers purchasing digital services, downloads or non‑physical items.


🔐 Split Payments (3DS Enabled)

Due to the new 3D Secure requirement, we can now offer split payments. Customers may divide their shopping cart into a SPLIT PAYMENT and complete their order using two separate payment methods.


📱 Google Pay and Apple Pay

Google Pay and Apple Pay are available exclusively through Mollie Payments. These wallet‑based payment methods are not provided via other systems and are fully integrated into our new payment infrastructure.
